Very few cities can boast a historical-artistic heritage such as the Florentine one as well as very few urban realities can have the fortune of having a concentrated wealth like the Duomo of Florence complex, where not only the Cathedral but also the Baptistery, the bell tower – the Giotto’s bell tower - and the new Museum of Opera del Duomo contribute in making it unique in the world. Starting from this observation, the tour aims to show people the unique richness and exceptional variety of treasures that enrich this religious complex. We will start from the visit of the Baptistery, with its marvelous mosaics, unique in Tuscany, and will continue by entering the Florentine religious temple: the cathedral, rich in jewels, like the fascinating crypt of Santa Reparata, part of the previous cathedral. From here, for the more adventurous, another ‘must seen‘ is the climbing to the top of Giotto's Bell Tower, one of the best view over Florence. After a proper lunch, we will continue this magical trip by visiting the beautiful and brand new Museum of Opera del Duomo, a repository of many masterpieces made for the Duomo, the Baptistery and the Campanile by artists of absolute prestige, such as Giotto, Donatello and Michelangelo, just to mention the most important ones.
